Project 2 proposal on blog space: Write about the social issue you intend to analyze in Project 2. Include:
This should be a substantial blog post of at least 450 words. You can imagine it as a free write in which you work out some of the details of your project before diving into it.*
*If you write a quality blog post, and your topic is approved in small group, you have the option of expanding on it for your early draft instead of writing a new outline.
Readings for Small Group:
Project 2 proposal on blog space: Write about the social issue you intend to analyze in Project 2. Include:
- What is the major issue?
- Why is this issue important to you, personally?
- What is the problem with this issue that you want to write about? (e.g. People disagree about ___.)
- What are both sides of the argument?
- Identify who is having this disagreement. Include 2 potential outside sources from both sides (4 total). These should be essays or articles, not websites. Try the Opposing Viewpoints database.
- Indicate what you think a possible solution or resolution/compromise is. In other words, what are the deliverables? Will you propose new federal (or state or local or international) regulation? A new philosophical theory? A marketing campaign?
